Chutzpah’s Weekly Barometer

by Katie on April 22, 2010

A light hearted look back over the past week’s good, bad and indifferent including the “don’t even go there’s”.

Tom Ford’s new lipstick line Chic, beautifully packaged and reeking of glamour, with all the usual elan of Mister Ford. Great smooth finish, moisturising and vivid colours too.

Louie Spence He’s the gift that keeps on giving. Both intensely annoying and likable at the same time. See the video for proof. Love him.

A planeless London sky It even seemed bluer than normal. Loving the self promotional tweets and the congratulatory back pats.

Blacks private club in Dean Street Now, I normally love this club but they had the rudeness to cancel a friend’s private art viewing at the very last minute when invitations had been sent and drinks sponsors arranged. Very bad form indeed. They could have easily had the decency to honour prior commitments before changing club policy.

Real models used in ads and editorials I get it. Honestly. Promote healthy living and normal sizes and it mirrors real lives blah blah, but if I want to look at a ‘normal’, I can easily look at myself in the mirror and then go out and get on the tube.

Who’s playing what festival. I’m not 20.

Thank you Katie for your support regarding the Elizabeth Zeschin Exhibition ( which was cancelled by Blacks Club. We will keep you posted about the date and new venue. It is surely their loss.
