A light hearted look back over the past week’s good, bad and indifferent including the “don’t even go there’s”.

LOVING

Lara D’ bags LOVE these pretty artisan bags that are all individual, reversible and each given names – so sweet. The clever and charming Lara D’ takes forgotten vintage fabrics and re-works these in different themes with vintage buttons, ribbons and found objects that she has collected in her travels. Bags retail at £50 each. Expect these to be the next big thing. Contact Lara on lauradalessio@gmail.com Tel: 07887 743973 for individual orders or sales enquiries. Or catch Lara at Soho Parish School Summer Fair taking place this coming Saturday, 19th of June at the St Anne’s church gardens on Wardour Street (from 11am).

PIMMS No 1 cup So British, So London, So Summer. You get to eat fruit and it doesn’t even feel like you’re getting smashed. Love it!

Model Carmen Kass in Josh Olin’s Vogue (UK) shoot She still looks amazing.

Trish McEvoy’s Beauty Booster Cream It works! I should imbibe it to save me from stupor (not recommended). Expensive but oh so worth it and a self indulgent treat. £68 available from Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.

HATING

Hayfever Man, has it been the biggest pain this year – itchy watery eyes, itchy throat, sneezing constantly, runny nose. Even industrial strength doctor’s antihistamines aren’t doing any good. What’s the use in nice make-up and lovely floral dresses with all *that* going on!

Quietly whinging Nyah, nyah. Not remotely in the same league as a strong complaint or reprimand…but moany whinging. Say something straight up or not at all.

That Soho’s a much less vibrant place these days RIP Michael Wojas and Sebastian Horsley

Yes to Pimms, so summery. Hayfever is the only thing worthy of quietly whinging!
