Elise Machnik A/W’ 11 collection launches in London

Last Thursday, Elise Machnik’s designer, Kiley Evans, launched her latest collection at Mortons, Berkeley Square.

The room, filled with well-heeled not exactly Shoreditch types despite the haircuts (Clue: their Converse trainers were much too clean) was buzzing with enthusiasm for the collection rather than the few celebrities present including the petite Pixie Lott and Elen Rives.

Kiley Evans (pictured below), one time collaborator with Julian McDonald showed an assured collection of structure and form with added playfulness in terms of crystals, watercolour and butterfly prints with frills and ostrich feathers used for a punky rather than feminine effect.  Colours are predominantly muted greys and blacks with flashes of turquoise and violet.  This is a collection for well-behaved ‘unruly’ twenties who like to make a statement.

Chief Executive of Machnik, Steffan Hywel Jones, has previously worked with a number of international talents including Simon Cowell, Beyonce and Kylie Minogue, so expect to see Elise Machnik being worn at The Brits and MTV awards prior to gracing the fashion cognoscenti.

Hywel Jones says, “Elise Machnik is quickly establishing itself as one of the leading new fashion brands for a diverse array of customers.  The attention to detail on all of our garments are second to none and every piece, whether it be couture or from our ready to wear collection will leave women feeling fabulous.  The designs are cut to accentuate the female body in a way no other brand has managed to successfully capture.  It’s a very exciting time for our brand.”
