Chutzpah’s Weekly Barometer – Royal Wedding Special

by Katie on April 29, 2011

A light hearted look back over the past week’s good, bad and indifferent including the “don’t even go there’s”.

HRH Prince William’s impromptu walk-about in The Mall   Bless him.  I was hoping he’d do something like this.  Taking the time out to go meet the crowds in the Mall waiting for his wedding was a lovely touch.  He looked genuinely happy to be there too.  This boy looks like he has the common touch his mother possessed.

Union Flags flying everywhere in the Capital  Making the city look regal and authoritative.  Only we can do pomp and ceremony like this with class.  Rule Brittania.

The Sunday Times Royal Crown tweet avatar.  The funniest, informative tweets and a fitting pink shiny avatar to boot.

SamCam in jade green Burberry – Giving a sleek Victoria Beckham and TPT a run for  their money in the style stakes.

The Princes – The uniforms an elegant and Regal counterpoint to the fashion furore surrounding the rest of the wedding.

The Dress –  Bravo!  What more an we say?  In one Royal fell swoop, Kate won over the British Fashion Industry  But, a French-owned label which manufactures in Italy, so NOT the moment for British fashion that some would have you believe.

Harry’s After Party – Team Chutzpah loves a mammoth session, and what’s not to love about a boy who gives you breakfast at the end of it? Potentially a thousand tabloid editors’ wet dreams.

The Fear shown by Mark Austin on the streets with the people  His face said it all.

Comparisons to Princess Diana – We suspect HRH Prince William hates this more than we do.

The BBC’s coverage in comparison with ITV  Now that was a shocker.

The over use of blusher  – Kate needs to calm that right down.  It makes her look older.  Odd
place to shave a bit of the wedding budget.

Pippa’s Mahogany spray tan  Great dress, great backside, awful ‘Only Way is Essex’ tan.  Even Kate showed a ‘glow’ next to her white dress.

Beatrice & Eugenie – Never more in need of a stylist.  Words momentarily failed us when these two rocked up looking looking like the John Lewis soft furnishings department.  and sat behind The Queen, too.

Karl Lagerfeld’s odd comments on the dress  Comparing ‘our’ Kate to Lindsay Lohan.  Just  ‘save it’  Karl and stick to Magnums at the moment.

For neigh sayers.
