Tom Ford releases the Neroli Portofino Bath Collection

by Katie on April 4, 2011

Regular readers of this blog will know of my infatuation with Tom Ford’s beauty line and fragrances:  from the lightness and softly veiled impact of each of the White Musks (Musk Pure and White Suede being favourites) to the super creamy,  Private Blend Lip Colour collection with ingredients such as Murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil and the the sheer unabridged, heavy headiness of the main collection with my indulgent penchant for Black Violet, Purple Patchouli and Neroli Porofino).  These are fragrances for bold and brave men and women and reflect seasonality, difference as well as consciously slapping a big ‘I’m here and I’m confident’ on your presence as well as stating your predilection for fine fragrance that is far from run of the mill.

And so it’s with joy that I can announce that the epitome of Summer fragrance, Neroli Portofino, is being released as whole self indulgent bath collection.  This fragrance oozes the chic of the Italian Riviera and all it encapsulates with its stunning vistas, bright sunshine and glamour.  This crisp, clean citrus floral with Tunisian neroli, Italian bergamont, Sicilian lemon, orange flower and lavender also has an amber undertone to add warmth as well as backbone to the scent which is enormously uplifting while remaining straightforward and uncluttered.  In other words, sheer class in a bottle.  And now it’s available in a whole host of body products as well as the Eau de Parfum:  body moisturiser, shower gel, body oil, body scrub and a beautiful champagne coloured bath soap  containing stalwart ingredients of the range, olive fruit and grape seed oils and date seed extract.

I can think of nothing better that using this range on hot Summer days, providing a much needed boost of scintillating scent to mornings and evenings.  The shower gel is a must.  The champagne coloured gel lathers luxuriously while bursting with the eponymous scent while the body oil is lightweight, silky and smooth to both revitalise and condition the skin.  The body moisturiser is lustrous, lightweight while blending in quickly while the body scrub has slightly larger than normal grains to allow for super cleansing body buffing.

The body collection is all packaged in distinctive clear and opaque aqua to reflect the Mediterranean sea.  It’s all quite gorgeous.
The Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Collection launched exclusively in Selfridges (London and Manchester) on 28th March and will launch in all Private Blend counters from 2nd May 2011.  Body Moisturizer (150ml) is £40, Body Scrub (200ml) is £50, Body Oil (250ml) is £45, Soap (155g) is £25 and Shower Gel (150ml) is £40.  The Neroli Porofino EDP starts at £118 for 50ml and goes up to £265 for 250ml.

I WANT!!! Actually, I was at the Tom Ford counter today choosing some perfume. I’m stuck between Black Violet and Noir Noir.

The Neroli Portofino is rather lovely too!
