Carolina Herrera launches CH L’Eau with the help of Another Magazine

by Katie on May 2, 2011

Carolina Herrera’s delightful new ‘CH L’eau’ is as bright, breezy, relaxed and chic like the archetypal ‘first days of Spring’ party chosen to launch the fragrance in London at Quintessentially’s London base in Portland Street.

The fragrance is like an automatic spritz of Spring-like joy with a mix of lemon blossom, orange, freesia, rose, jasmine, lily and violet. A slight powdery finish appears warm and pleasant, coming from the caressing base of heliotrope, cinnamon and sandalwood.
The beauty of this scent is it manages to straddle the fine line between a captivating floral and classic good taste.  It’s neither youthful, nor too sweet and brash, instead behaving with poise and decorum like a 1950’s tea-dress clad, vintage stalwart plonked directly in an elegant bar from the 21st Century.

The ditsy light floral feel is replicated in the Carolina Herrera range comprising of dresses, childrenswear, picnicware and even fans.   It’s mood is infectious and feminine without being grating and it sparkles with the appeal of a good champagne.  It’s only downside is, like a good champagne, it quickly disappears causing the need to top up frequently.

Talking of top notch champagne, the London launch for the fragrance was awash with elegant cocktail basins filled with sparkling refinement.  Set in the airy first floor rooms of Quintessentially that had been bedecked in floral trees, gargantuan displays and with a large floral canape table that depicted the brand perfectly, a gaggle of the hip and the hopeful, many from Another magazine who co-hosted the event, mingled for a few hours, chatting in small groups near the open windows and balcony doors thrown open to the Spring early evening sun.

Music was played by a stylish French DJ as well as the ever gorgeous (though decidedly ungracious) Miss Daisy Lowe, better known for her brand links with High Street brands and celebrity parentage.  Nice to know that she can also step up to the designer mark if so required.

CH L’eau comes in a cylindrical glass bottle etched with Carolina Herrera’s distinctive logo and containing the light pink rosy liquid which promises girlish glamour.  A cute floral ribbon pendant with feminine pink charms clinks flirtatiously on its side to add to its allure.

CH L’Eau is £49 for 50ml and its available from the CH Carolina Herrera store on Mount St, London W1 on Tel: 0203 441 0965
