Anya Hindmarch’s attention to detail extends to her S/S’12 presentation

by Katie on September 23, 2011

Anya Hindmarch is beloved by all sophisti-Kates and West London types who avidly seek out her plush, beautifully designed handbags with their loving attention to detail.

For S/S’12, not only has Anya extended her repertoire in magnificent new styles that have the fash pack ‘oohing and ahhh’ing’ on sight, but these also have the well honed wit and style of Miss Handmarch with inside pockets termed’ Bits and Bobs’ and the launch of the collection’s centrepiece, ‘The Bruton’.

Inspired by London Underground and termed ‘Lost & Found’, Anya Hindmarch’s traditional London Fashion Week collection launch was held at the original and now disused Strand Tube station near Somerset House. The station was completely transformed into various scenes and vignettes as showpieces for the collection.

Complete with flower stand displaying the new season evening clutches and a newspaper kiosk selling traditional British childhood favourites such as chocolate cigarettes, Fudge Bars and chocolate coins, there were even Tunnocks Snowballs for the hardened Scots and all Walkers crisp packets had been re-branded as  and Anya’s ‘Grab Bag’ for your Handbag.  Genius.
