Ecoya Home Fragrance & Skincare arrives in London

by Katie on November 9, 2011

Nurtured and crafted on the shores of Botany Bay, an area known since the 18th Century for its rich source of botanicals, Ecoya Luxury Home Fragrance and Skincare has arrived in London.

Ecoya’s a natural based brand that you will be hearing lots more about since it hits Liberty and Harrods this week. It seems only fitting that a niche brand such as Ecoya finds a home in the midst of London’s shopping emporiums renowned for discovering new brands to excite their customer base. But what makes this brand stand out? Well, it could be the sumptuous range of all natural fragrances like Sweet Pea & Jasmine, French Pear or the gloriously popular Lotus Flower, the understated yet fittingly modern dark hued glass jar or the fact that the candles are made from natural soy wax which are each hand poured and give 60 hours burn time.

The range of rich hand and body lotions look suitably modern marrying good taste with ecologically sound credentials. Almond and sunflower vitamin E oils in each of the fragrances make for quick enriching absorption with a hint of subtle fragrance. Fragrance free Ecoya lip balm is on offer for purists.
I asked CEO and Founder of Ecoya, Craig Schweighoffer, what inspired the launch of Ecoya?  “As a scientist, I traveled a great deal and naturally used to regularly check ingredient listings on products in my travels and noticed that most candles didn’t have a natural ingredients. Couple that with the fact that people are now so ecologically aware and I realised that there was a gap in the market for good sound, well designed products. We started off really small like most businesses but the range is now growing along with its popularity over the world.” Listed on the New Zealand stock exchange 18 months ago, this business seems to be going from strength to strength.
Look our for the racy advertising imagery that got banned in New Zealand after it appeared in a billboard in one of Auckland’s busiest areas and shows that this burgeoning brand has more than a point of difference.

Ecoya’s range of products is now available at Liberty of London and Harrods.
