Agent Provocateur chooses Mylene Jampanoï for S/S’12 campaign

Agent Provocateur has a long history of spicing up the lingerie market and adding heat and sultriness to where there previously was tacky. Even the premier flagship store at the wrong end of Broadwick Street was set to rattle a few middle class cages. In it’s time it has spawned many wannabe replicas brands but never quite with the ‘oh la la’ knowingness of Ms P.

For Spring/Summer ’12, the brand has chosen French beauty, Mylene Jampanoï, as the face (as well as the body) as, says, creative director Sarah Shotton, “…she has a feline sensuality that compliments her pin-up figure. She shows that an AP woman can be wholly feminine while still maintaining the allure of a confident woman.”
A fan of the risque, soft focused ’70s glow of vintage Playboy magazines, the legendary ‘Emmanuelle’ and ‘The Story of O’, Shotton wanted to re-introduce the sensuality and flirtation from the era to the Agent Provocateur latest campaign.

Actress Mylene Jampanoï began her career in French television, and was cast in her first movie role in 2004. Since then, she has played alongside Daniel Auteuil, Gerard Depardieu and recently in Clint Eastwood’s‘ Hereafter’.
