Mikhail Kusnirovich launches The Bosco Club in London for the Olympics

by Katie on July 26, 2012

Earlier today I was invited spur of the moment to the launch of The Bosco Club, the temporary and quite lavish home (during the Olympic Games) of the Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian delegations who are invited courtesy of Mikhail Kusnirovich, the genial and charismatic President of Bosco, designer to each of the nation’s Olympic uniforms.
Mr Kusnirovich gave us a personal tour of the specially equipped club at 10 Carlton Gardens and boy, is it lavish. But, while being lavish, homely with great care taken to each of the nation’s tastes accommodating even the British with a champagne tea-room.
Said Mr Kusnirovich, “We are proud that The Bosco Club has become one of the most talked-about hospitality venues at the Olympic Games. If yous ask any driver in Athens to take you to The Bosco Club, he’ll know exactly what you mean!” Bosco creates a very special atmosphere for guests who have devoted their lives to sport – a home away from home for Olympic delegations; a peaceful retreat for athletes and their families.’
Located in Mayfair, overlooking The Mall, this is the perfect English spot to relax and enjoy the Games. Dating back to 1827, it’s interiors have featured in movies from Bridget Jones’ Diary to ‘A Picture of Dorien Grey’.
Mr Kusnirovich’s geniality and warmth cannot be faulted. Each room is kitted out in the Bosco unform colours as curtains while the stately ineterior houses a room devoted to the national food and drink of each country…and that means heaps of Beluga caviar and strong Russian vodka for the Russian assembly while the Brits have a typically English tea…with champagne, of course.

By establishing itself firmly at the centre of the action, Bosco hopes to exploit the London Olympics to become the challenger brand to established sportswear heavyweights Nike and Adidas.
Overlooking The Mall and while sitting on the terrace having lunch, we heard the winning announcements being practised for the presentations on The Mall which really made The Games come to life. Now, it’s countdown to the exciting Opening Ceremony. Where will you be watching it?

The Bosco uniforms will be available at Westfield, Stratford. www.boscosport.ru/en

It’s a private club so you have to be invited as a guest of the brand. Tickets allocated each evening.
