Diorskin Nude & Rouge Dior Nude – The New Nudes

by Katie on August 22, 2012

As well as full on red lips, black eyeliner, high octane glam, Dior’s firmly led the way in Nude make-up. The cult of barely there is attractive to working women as it covers, highlights and emphasises natural contours while giving colour and sheen to skin without being ‘made-up’.

Dior has just released the ‘New Nude’, a new step in the technology of blush and glow. Just like their launch in 2005 when they pioneered the look, the ‘New Nude’ products’ aim is to luminate in this comprehensive range of Nude foundation, powder compacts & shimmer, brushes, and, to complement the range, a collection of four nude shades of lipstick and nail lacquers.
Dior’s ‘New Nude’ aims to boost the skin’s beauty and tone with it’s three key element ingredients: the pigments, the binding agent and mineralised water.
The star ingredient in the range is the light fluid, velvet-finish make-up that gives coverage without masking the skin in a heavy handed manner. To follow, there’s the Nude Compact which can be applied by brush or sponge to act as a foundation or a powder with its ultra-fine powder particles, micro-pearlisers and opalescent powders. The feel is cashmere smooth and soft and gives a light luminescent appearance.
Then there’s the Nude Shimmer Illuminating Powder which maximses light and contouring and a ‘must-have’ new product that’s bang-on trend. Who doesn’t need maximum radiance?
Then there’s colour – albeit it light and, of course, nude. Rouge Dior Nude lipsticks have ten new shades broken down into ‘cool’ and ‘warm’ and include and include new favourites greige, swan, charnelle and trench. Greige is the hero must-have with its ultra-natural beige tinged rose-bud lips appearance. The everyday lipstick for naturalites. The lipstick colours are matched with the matte varnish shades, all of which are bound to be the ‘go-to’ choice for  paired back minimalist chic.

Dior Nude Skin Glowing Make-Up is priced £31, Shimmer Instant Illuminating Powder is £32, Nude Glow Versatile Powder Make-Up is £37, Loose Powder is £32.50 and Rouge Dior Nude lipsticks are priced £25 while Dior Vernis polish is priced £18. There are an accompanying range of brushes priced at £36 and £43.

Diorskin Nude and Rouge Dior Nude is available exclusively at Selfridges from 31st August and on counters nationwide from 14th September 2012.

Love Diorskin Nude but oh, what a pesky pump. Hope it has improved. This is looking to be a birthday treat to myself 🙂
