One of the original 1970’s stylistas of the Studio 54 generation is still sending out glamour as her A/W’ 12 catwalk show notes testify, “Glamorous at a moment’s notice”.
The show highlighted DVF’s strengths in the sexy wrap dresses and relaxed attitude that relayed DVF’s easy to wear vibe whether for work, business or cocktails, as well as showing Diane’s penchant for print and bold colour. This collection titled ‘Rendez-vous’ is all about seduction. These slinky sensual numbers may emphasise every curve so well they might send signals in a come hither direction.
The campaign for the collection features model Arizona Muse and was shot by photographer Camilla Akrans. Transcending seasons, the campaign focuses on the strength of the DVF woman and the DVF brand. The DVF team transformed a deserted airstrip into a surrealistic landscape where anything was possible. Interacting with an oversized, DVF icon with a reflective surface, the campaign evokes the moment in which a woman discovers she can be the woman she wants to be. “It is all about joie de vivre…expectation and possibility,” says von Furstenberg
Muse’s effortless sex appeal coupled with the mystery of black, the possibility of infinity and the drama of open sky, relays the seductive mood of the collection. The season’s sleek silhouettes, vibrant jewel tones and playful Fetish Box Clutches contrast against the darkened landscape, for a result that is glamorous, sexy and bold.
“The collection is very sexy…it is mysterious,” says Creative Director Yvan Mispelaere. “We wanted to make sure the campaign reflected that.”
The DVF collection is available from the DVF stores, 25 Bruton Street, London W1 and 25 Ledbury Road, London W11.
