OMEGA House continued to be London’s coolest celebrity focal point of the Olympics and with the constant success of Britain’s best ever team, the guests were on cloud nine and partying to the brilliant Brazilian theme. The party was a samba, Latin fest, all Rio dancing girls, feathered head-dresses, percussionists, Capoera performers, Ron Zacapa Caipirinhas and music by Favella Chic. It was a riot of colour and high spirits and all the while, TV screens blared the Olympics.
On entering, each guest was offered temporary Olympic rings and Brazilian flag tattoos which was the stamp of the party. Winding down athletes who had already hauled in golds, silvers and bronzes from TeamGB as well as other international athletes, kicked back and enjoyed their success, adding their names to the long roll-call on the OMEGA House celebrity polaroid board. The party throng was largely centred in the large garden area as the sultry evening and the upbeat mood meant guests were mixing and socialising on top form.
The packed event saw a host of British talent mixing together – including British athletes Beth Tweddle, Pete Reed, Louis Smith and Peter Wilson, actors Luke Evans and Henry Cavill, presenter Jenni Falconer and comedian Jack Whitehall.
Along with copious caipirinhas and Ketel One vodka cocktails, the guests were served canapes, all with a Brazilian spicy salsa theme. Never has the Brazilian rhythm been celebrated in such style and with such gusto in the metropolis. London and OMEGA House has really gone for it these past two weeks, whether it’s been winning medals or partying to celebrate the athletes success. Just wonderful.
