“Talk me Harry Winston, Tell me all about it!”, Marilyn breathed in ‘Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend’ and it’s rang true ever since. The lure of the sparkle with a bona fide heritage is hard to beat. This side of the Atlantic may have been a tad mystified when the song was released seeing as Harry Winston is the enduring New York brand and the mecca for diamonds States side and us Brits were more knowledgeable of Asprey and Boodles. But Harry Winston is now a firm location since its New Bond St store opened in 2006 and now with the latest store release in the newly re-vamped ground floor area of Harrods.
Harry Winston’s second store lies in the fine jewellery room of Harrods and has been developed with William Sofield & Studio Sofield Inc, New York award winning design firm. The 631 square foot salon reflects a modern variation on Winston’s traditional style as we know it. Soft taupe and grey tones complement the custom designed black lacquer and antique bronze furniture with accompanying vintage floor lamps, bespoke chandeliers and hand beaded silk walls denote discreet luxury while being the backdrop for the gleaming jewels. Sumptuous.
High jewellery, bridal and watch areas showcase Harry Winston’s statement offer including the iconic diamond collections, engagement rings and watches. One of a kind pieces from the hand crafted and unique ‘Ultimate Adornments’ (shown below in the video).
