Fashion insiders have been watching Jimmy Choo closely since Tamara Mellon left the business towards the end of 2011.
Now owned by German luxury group, Labelux (who also own Bally, Belstaff and Derek Lam), creative directors of Jimmy Choo, Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway have strived to retain the strong creative pulse and iconic glam identity associated with the brand, have updated classic styles and have even linked with global artists such as Rob Pruitt.
This season, Choi & Holloway have dabbled again in the smooth ’70s meets ’90s styling so synonymous with the brand (courtesy of stylist creatrice, Camilla Nickerson) relaying the sophisticated, on-the-move-to-somewhere-impossibly-glam lifestyle of the ultimate Choo international urbanite.
Says Choi & Holloway, “We wanted to reveal a more relaxed side of Jimmy Choo woman and man. This modern and glamorous couple represent a new generation of style. They are the ones you want to know.”
Featuring models Valerija Kelava and Anders Velencoso Segura and photographed by British fashion photographer Angelo Pennetta, the campaign debuts February 2013 worldwide.
