The world and vision of Dior is coming to Harrods.
Combining British cheek with Gallic chic, Dior will be taking over Harrods’ famous stretch of windows in Brompton Road, unveiling an elaborate universe that includes a pop up store and relaying the brand’s illustrious presence in Britain.
Combining the best of British with Dior’s inimitable charisma, the Dior windows will pay homage to Britain’s cultural icons. The Dior iconic grey and white colour palette will be on show in the form of traditional Royal Mail post boxes featuring a series of exclusive and limited edition Dior products. Royal Beefeaters will also wear costumes designed by new Dior creative director, Raf Simons.
Meanwhile, inside the store, Harrods’ 4th floor is to be transformed into ‘the ultimate Dior experience’. An entire reconstruction of the 30 Avenue Montaigne facade will greet visitors, to replicate the Parisienne headquarters. An installation will feature ‘stars in Dior’ featuring the actual outfits worn by the likes of Emma Watson, Jennifer Lawrence and Marion Cotillard. My word, there will even be Dior like lobster club sandwiches and cupcakes.
It’s a whole new look ‘New Look’.
The Harrods Dior takeover will run from 16th March-14th April 2013
