What Katie Did’s Vintage Styled Lingerie Fits A/W’13’s ’40s & ’50s Flirtation

by Katie on March 4, 2013

As the recent spate of catwalk shows indicate, period influences are very much en vogue for A/W’13. From ’50s cocktail dresses (at Lanvin, shown below) to re-worked ’40s elegance (at Prada) and a whole host of ’60s rampant picks from go-go dresses to little 3/4 length suits (at Jasper Conran) to Pucci’s cool Talitha Getty’esque moment, all swirl print and sexy long boots. DSquared2 (shown below), too, ramped it up with ’30s style, feathers aflowing.
I highly anticipate a whole host of designer lingerie lines following suit, picking up on these eras so why not check out the current looks from West London vintage lingerie themed brand, ‘What Katie Did’, the supplier to many vintage vixens with a hankering for bullet bras and seamed stockings.
Sold from 1st March, the new lines incorporate many of the What Katie Did staples like corsets, girdles, suspender belts and long line knickers in racy silks in tones of black, deep red, scarlet, peach and deep chocolate.
Theme with scarlet red Besame lips and styled ’40s bangs and you’re halfway there to seduction.
