Charlotte Tilbury’s Make-Up Line – If you want to know about make-up, talk to a make-up artist. Or better still, get tips from one of the hottest names in the business. Session make-up artist to fashion & film’s most famous names, Charlotte Tilbury, has just launched her own line of make-up at Selfridges. The collection is cleverly built around products that Charlotte uses to define eyes, cheeks and lips to create different looks from Rock Chick, Uptown Girl, Golden Goddess, The Sophisticate and The Bombshell proving that great technique and good, depth-of-colour, blendable products go together like a dream. LFW Countdown – The tent’s being built in Somerset House’s grounds, designers’ PR in-boxes are crammed with request and there’s the beginnings of pre LFW buzz. And then Natalie Massenet raises the bar further with her ‘Letter To London’ in the Evening Standard urging all to get involved. Who’s excited now?

Maarten Van Der Horst’s 2nd Collection for Topshop –  Van der Horst goes radical from his first floral collection and chooses a darker 80’s New Wave meets New Metallica vibe of hard graphic, black and white pieces for us to get down and Nu-Punk’y. The capsule collection  starts at £40 and goes up to £220 for the  fab leather biker shown.

Hayley Being Killed Off in Corrie! – NO! How can you do this to us? One of TV’s best loved characters, too. Prepare for blubbing.

Microsoft/Nokia – Buying the £4.6 billion of Nokia’s phone business (could be good) but dropping the well-known brand name that constantly ranks higher in customer polls than Microsoft’s Windows phone. Are you INSANE? A tad like buying over Coca Cola then dropping the brand name and it’s association to sugary drinks.

Launch parties that start at 10.30pm, midweek – Again, are you crazy? Journos and others work. And yet, by midnight, you’ll wonder why it’s chock full of hangers-on.

September Hayfever – Runny eyes and sneezing fits continue. Deep joy.

NONPLUSSED

Erin O’Connor as new face of Radley – Hmm. More impressed if they’d have gone the current big model route. I dunno. Just looks dated.
