Chutzpah’s Weekly Barometer

by Katie on April 28, 2010

A light hearted look back over the past week’s good, bad and indifferent including the “don’t even go there’s”.

Balmain’s new fragrance So looking forward to reviewing this. It’s rare to find something that I truly love and smells good on me. It smells of rich, wealthy indulgence with a subtle modern edge. The bottle is vintage beautiful too. A classic.

The giant horse’s head at Marble Arch by Nic Fiddian-Green. Truly awesome. It’s strong, sensitive and so, so clever. The statue changes shape and light as you move around it. From it’s rear, it has the curvaceous shape of a woman’s body. A centrepiece worthy of a key tourist spot in the Capital.

The Twinkle (cocktail). Bar maestro, Dick Bradsell’s skills are legendary and he makes the meanest, most delicious Twinkle in town. With champagne, vodka and elderflower cordial, what’s not to like?

The tube system as soon as it gets a little hot. This is self explanatory for Londoners everywhere.

Mitch Winehouse God, he milks his daughter’s celebrity to the nth.

Kellogg’s fibre plus chocolate bar (with 20% of your daily fibre needs) advert I bet this is another ad briefed, conceived and produced by men in marketing aimed at targeting women. So patronising.

Amanda Holden’s trout pout. Did we really expect anything else from her? This is the woman who over applauds contestants on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ like a stranded seal. What is all that, with that arms straight in front of you clapping?
