A light hearted look back over the past week’s good, bad and indifferent including the “don’t even go there’s”.

OPI nails new Swiss collection for AW ’10 As ever, brilliant colours with names such as Cuckoo for this Colour, Ski Teal We Drop, Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous and Diva of Geneva. They may have been previewed in the Absolut Ice Bar but they’re hot to trot!

Magnum white chocolate ices A bargain at 3 for £1 in Tesco. *stocks up*

Vivien of Holloway A sneaky, hideaway little store selling the most gorgeous ’40s and 50’s styles in all sorts of fabrics. A real find. Give yourself a treat and visit. (Vivien of Holloway, 294 Holloway Road, N7; Tel. 0207 609 8754)

The new Payne Shurvell Gallery in East London (16 Hewett Street, EC2A). Great new gallery space concentrating on inspiring new artists. Go see their first show, “A Bright and Guilty Place” where 13 international artists working in mixed media, interpret the notion of mapping and ‘place’.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit facial wash (£4.49) Summer fresh zingy with a wake you up fragrance. Clears your head as well as your skin!

World Cup themed press releases Just stop it.

The James Corden/Patrick Stewart Face Off at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards So cringeworthy for both of them. Boys, behave in womens’ company. (See it at:

Gaga’s Alejandro video Blah blah, daring homage to Madonna etc. It was ‘derived’ strongly from director, Marc Caro’s work and those bowl cut, Victoria Wood haircut, type wigs didn’t work on Linda Evangelista so they sure as hell ain’t going to work on a much shorter, plainer Gaga.
