Mimi Holliday launches Spring/Summer online pre Christmas

by Katie on November 3, 2011

Christmas is coming and this ensures that we will be subjected to a whole host of inappropriate lingerie suggestions for gifts from the media so it’s no wonder than the male population wanders aimlessly on the Eve of Christmas and then tends to plump for items that their other halves will instantly ditch/swap/hide away for ever, and that’s pre-supposing that the sizing is right.
That’s why I offer up my pearls of wisdom and encourage the ‘laydees’ to whisper the right words to their betrothed or goddamit, just go and buy themselves these pretty, sophisticated yet flirty floozy selection of spendy intimates from  Mimi Holliday, a trusted London designer lingerie label that’s soon set to launch it’s first store in the Capital in 2012.

Firstly, the new S/S’12 range featured here is available online from 1st November so problem solved. Great Christmas (self) treat in new Spring colours – win win. Secondly, this intensely fruity range features a rainbow of exotic colourways in dazzling bursts of pure silk and lace with original and distinctive designs.  And, you can can even buy boxers for your other half with the new release of ‘Mimi’s Men’, 100% cotton Liberty cotton prints in different combinations (Prices from £32-£55 – pictured below).

Mimi Holliday’s Spring range works on juxtaposition- of colour, of fabric and of design. They certainly don’t hold back and there’s nothing missing from Mimi’s lingerie wardrobe – neon, classic black, sexy red, polka dot, leopard and much more.

Mimi celebrates Part II of sister brand, Damaris’ 10 years with 15 new and exciting stories mimicking cocktails from the past and present. From a lime green and bubblegum-pink chic  leopard print in Cuba Libra, a rich daffodil yellow and fuchsia in Pina Colada to a sophisticated peach scallop lace with black silk satin in Kir Royale.

Most ranges offer super plunge (padded or non padded), balcony and comfort bra shapes, as well as seven stories that offer up to a GG cup in Mimi’s  Maxi sizes, with enhanced elastics, shapes and sizes.

I’m loving the babydolls, normally trite in other brands, Mimi Holliday makes these luscious. The voluptuous babydoll is introduced in Kamikaze (pictured below) – a lucid fluro pink silk chiffon with daffodil yellow delicate lace, designed to fall just around the hips with a built in bra – a sexy and flattering design with a slit down the middle.

Instead of the predictable seasonal Christmas black, red and white, opt for the Opal Fruit and Refresher themed colour bursts with Mimi Holliday in lime, coral, peach, purple and blush orange. A bold colour peeking through black is the ultimate Christmas tease. Unwrapping is only half the thrill.

Mimi Holliday is available online and also from Selfridges and Fox & Rose.

We love Mimi Holliday at Saint Belle and can’t wait for our Spring/Summer 2012 delivery, we think the two key sets are their infamous leopard print silk set named ‘Coco Loco’ and a Chanel-esque update of their best selling ‘Bisou Bisou’ renamed ‘Kir Royal’. http://www.saintbelle.com/Mimi-Holliday/
