Agent Provocateur’s #Knickersforever AW’15 Campaign

“I like photographing women who appear to know something of life” said the trailblazing visionary fashion photographer, Helmut Newton.

Once a lingerie fanatic, always a lingerie fanatic. Age shall not wither her. And her bank balance shall be suitably depleted. The sign of a good woman is not only her shoes and the perfume she wears but the devotion to her under garms. Those secret silky, coloured slips and flashes you see under shirts and the hint of an underwired outline. The merest come-hither glimpse  of something to be shared (if she wishes) but to be enjoyed as much as by herself as by her fortunate partner. It’s in our woman secret stash rule book. Indulge thyself before indulging any other.

Agent Provocateur is synonymous with all that’s sexy, sensuous, feminine and raunchy without being in the least bit slutty…well, maybe the merest tad in some of the more risqué pieces but always in the best possible taste.

For Autumn/Winter ‘15, Agent Provocateur has taken Helmut Newton’s love of the old-school woman, unafraid to be powerful in her barest form. Agent Provocateur has been inspired to collate a collection based around sexy women who have each embodied their eras and womanhood in their own unique ways.

Sophie Loren’s appearance in ‘The Millionairess’ in corset, stockings and pearls inspired the Vera corset with its ribbon lacing worn underneath the pearl-trimmed Francis gown while Kim Basinger’s strip tease in 9 and a half weeks cemented the status of the simple silk negligee as a staple of a woman’s lingerie wardrobe. The Willa is frothy yet feisty, set in midnight blue lace and chiffon with a retro teddy and cutaway bra and knicker to match.

Cindy Crawford inspired the short, tight, busty and body-con. For Agent Provocateur this means the Sonia – a Mugleresque corset constructed of body-sculpting laminated silk panels with nip-tuck panels of sheer tulle to highlight your form. The ultra hot, all-out statement, micro zip-slashed slayer Maxene dress could be layered atop and worn outside…if you dare.

Lara Stone’s Bardot-esque look inspired the Mona dress – a rich navy, duchesse silk that’s trimmed with peach crystals with a lower-than-low back so that the exit from the room is as good as the entrance.

As part of Agent Provocateur’s #knickersforever campaign, real AP shop girls taking over the brand’s Snapchat, Periscope and Tumblr. Not only for the guys amusement, those hot girl AP girl fans can give as good as they get. Give a girl the right lingerie and she can take on the world.
